Sept 01 – Arrival in Cuiabá

Our adventure begins at São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) with our included domestic flight to Cuiabá. Arrival in Cuiabá in the afternoon and transfer to the Amazon Hotel. In the evening, you will meet our guide, enjoy dinner together and have a short briefing about the adventure ahead. [Included: Dinner]

Sept 02 – Travel to Porto Jofre

After breakfast, at approximately 8:00 AM, we transfer to the airport for our private flight to Porto Jofre. Flight time: approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival, we board our boat for the approximately 20-minute journey to the Houseboat. Depending on our arrival time, our rooms may not yet be ready. Instead of waiting, we can begin exploring the area by boat and enjoy our first opportunity to search for jaguars and other wildlife. Return to the Houseboat for lunch and check-in. At approximately 2:00 PM, we depart again for our first full afternoon boat safari, returning after sunset. [Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner]

Sept 03 to 07 – Photography days

Five full days of jaguar photography with morning and afternoon boat safaris exploring the rivers and channels of Porto Jofre, with jaguars as our main focus, while also looking for other wildlife and varied photographic opportunities. Midday break at the Houseboat for lunch and rest. Our comfortable houseboat is located right in the prime zone for jaguars, but we also explore distant areas on this tour. Sept 08 – Return travel

After breakfast, we leave the Houseboat and travel approximately 20 minutes by boat back to Porto Jofre. Private flight to Cuiabá, approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival, lunch at Cuiabá Airport is included before boarding our approximately 01:00 PM flight to São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU). Arrival in São Paulo and end of our Jaguars of Porto Jofre adventure. Located conveniently in front of Cuiabá airport, the Amazon Hotel offers a comfortable and practical stay before or after your Pantanal expedition. With comfortable rooms, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and convenient access to the airport, it is an ideal base for travelers connecting to and from the Pantanal.

PANORÂMICO HOUSEBOAT

Experience the finest houseboat in the Porto Jofre region, offering exceptionally spacious rooms complete with air conditioning and private bathrooms. During the Jaguar season, this houseboat is conveniently stationed near the State Park, where we conduct most of our jaguar observations, providing easy access for our photography excursions.

Our smaller boats, used for daily outings, are both comfortable and spacious. They are equipped with modern 4-stroke engines, radio communication, and are operated by highly skilled boat drivers, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience on the water.

We want your experience to be amazing, so it’s important to make sure this journey truly fits what you’re looking for.

This group tour might not be ideal if you prefer to do things entirely your own way — in that case, a private tour could suit you better. It also helps to enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, as we’ll be traveling with an international group.

Please note that the trip includes three private flights (Cessna 182, Piper Seneca, and Cessna Caravan) and two commercial flights, so it may not be for you if you’re uncomfortable with small planes. The experience also involves hot weather (up to 40°C), long hours outdoors, and some uneven terrain, which can be challenging for travelers with severe limited mobility or those very sensitive to heat or motion sickness.

Because we spend so much time in nature, you should also feel at ease around insects and small creatures. And while our lodges are comfortable and authentic, among the best in the areas we visit, they’re not luxurious.

What we want most is for this journey to be truly magical for you — and that starts with helping you choose the experience that best matches your expectations.

This trip requires a 10% confirmation deposit at the moment of booking and a second 10% payment by November 1st 2026, with final payment 60 days before the tour. Payment is made through wire transfer or credit card (2.9% fee for Visa/Mastercard and 3.9% fee for Amex).
