Below there are some hotel recommendations near the São Paulo Int’l Airport (Guarulhos). We highly recommend that guests arrive a day before our tour starts, as often our tours begin in the morning and arriving on the same day there is always a risk of a delayed flight that could cause problems for the begining of the tour. We also recommend that all guests leave a day after the trip ends, due to domestic airline flight changes that could interfere with your international flight back home. This recommendation is actually part of our Terms & Conditions and failing to comply means you take full responsibility over any flight changes.
These are just recommendations based on our own experiences, there are a few other hotel options near the airport as well. All of these hotels can be booked through Booking.com for example, or we could book them for you if you prefer.
PULLMAN GUARULHOS – $$$$
Located just 5–10 minutes from the airport, this rather upscale hotel is the closest and most convenient option in the area. It offers excellent accommodations and high-quality services, along with a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. This is the hotel we regularly use during our tours, as staying here — while not mandatory if not already included — greatly simplifies logistics and ensures a seamless arrival and departure experience.
MARRIOT GUARULHOS – $$$$
Located about 10 minutes from the airport, this hotel is considered the most upscale option in the area, offering accommodations and services on the same high standard as the Pullman. Guests enjoy excellent comfort, attentive service, and a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, making it also a top choice for convenience and quality.
HAMPTON BY HILTON GUARULHOS – $$
Located about 15 minutes from the airport. It’s a good option in the area, with good accommodations and services for just one night, although considerably more basic than the options above (but less expensive). They also offer free bus shuttle to/from the airport and their breakfast starts very early, at 04:30 AM.
COMFORT HOTEL GUARULHOS – $$
Located about 15 minutes from the airport. Good accommodations and services, a less expensive option compared to the options above. They offer free van shuttle to/from the airport.
